Info & Notes
BASIC INFO:
• Name: Carmen Isabella Sandiego
• Age: Late 20s
• Height: 5'9"
• Weight: 135lbs
• Hair: Black
• Eyes: Blue

THREAD PREFERENCES:
• Brackets preferred over prose, but either is fine.
• Present-tense preferred over past-tense, but either is fine.
• Tagging speed is typically daily with occasional boomeranging.

ON BACKTAGGING:
• I'm happy to continue tagging an existing thread so long as it continues to progress at a steady pace. Otherwise, I usually prefer to keep threads current and may drop older ones. Please feel free to PM me if you'd like to continue a thread, or start a new one in place of an existing one!

ON FOURTHWALLING:
• Please no telling her she's a fictional character, but I'm happy to play with other characters having awareness of her and knowledge of her exploits generally! She'll just assume it's her reputation as a world-renowned thief preceding her.

ON MIND MANIPULATION:
• I'm not against it! However, let's discuss in advance to make sure we're on the same page before it happens, as she may try to resist or manipulate the other party in return.

ON SHIPPING:
• I'm open to pretty much any crosscanon ship if the chemistry is good, though I would prefer her partners be mid-20s or older! This preference is more about life experience than it is about a specific number; a good rule of thumb is whether this character's experience is roughly analogous to that of a post-university adult or beyond.

ON THREAD IDEAS:
• In terms of general skillset/thread hooks, Carmen speaks a ludicrous number of languages fluently, has training in a variety of martial arts, and harbors a passion for cool vehicles. She loves history, geography, and philosophy, and is full of literary quotes. Talking to her about any of these is always a safe bet.

• She's a big flirt and I love shipping, so please feel free to assume CR if I post her on a shipping meme! I'm a fan of improv so as long as you give me a clear idea of what your vision is for their relationship I'll probably roll with it.

• Very open to the idea of kitbashing her universe with that of other detective or superhero canons! I'm high-level familiar with both Marvel and DC, and she would slot in as the benign antihero/antivillain gray area type. Carmen is notable in that she hates weapons (so all of her crimes are strictly nonviolent), and that she was a world-class detective by the age of 18 before she made the decision to become a thief for the challenge of it instead; other characters are free to know this about her!

• Honestly I'm very open to any sort of canon AU or kitbashing so like. Pitch me an interesting vision and I'll probably run with it — though I'd prefer not to throw her into things that are SUPER grimdark or violent, just because she'd have a bad time with that. You won't be seeing me post her to any "get fucked up by Jigsaw in a SAW Trap" memes, let's put it that way.

• Carmen loves precocious children and gets along very well with them, so she's likely to take on a sort of playfully encouraging/affectionate mentorship kind of role if approached by one. However, these relationships will be more teacher/student in nature, as opposed to "surrogate family".

• More than once in canon, Carmen contemplates the idea of giving up her life of crime and returning to being a detective. Hero types can definitely try to persuade her to give up her criminal ways and stand a very good chance of succeeding.

• My PMs are always open! I'm friendly, I promise, so feel free to toss ideas at me anytime. I'm flexible.
